Dragon Boat Paddlathon | Beating the Drums for Change

Sydney held its first ever Dragon Boat Paddlathon last Sunday with over 20 crews participating in a range of 3km to 21km laps around Blackwattle Bay with the Anzac Bridge and Sydney Fish Market providing a scenic backdrop. The organisers Rally 4 Research and Sydney Zodiacs help raise well over $16,000 with all proceeds going to Black Dog Institute and Headspace . Dragon boating is an ancient chinese sport that embraces the fundamental elements of mental wellbeing at it’s core… social camaraderie, team spirit, and a sense of purpose. This event aimed to shine a spotlight on team sport for mental wellbeing.
