Made to Measure: The Treadlie Handmade Bike Show Opening

Treadlie Magazine has challenged bicycle builders from around country – professionals, gifted amateurs, artists and dreamers – to assemble together eighteen fabulous cutom built bicycles of all persuasions for a four day bike-drooling fest held at Kind Of – Gallery space in Darlinghurst. “As the popularity of bike riding surges across Australia, more and more people are using bicycle design as an expression of their personal style. Outstanding craftsmanship and design are combined in this exhibition. The bikes were selected for their aesthetics, artistry and creativity, and stories about the bikes and their builders accompany each exhibition. These handmade bikes have a quality and uniqueness that harks back to slower times.”
This exhibition was a part of Sydney Design – an annual event produced by the Powerhouse Museum in association with more than 60 cultural institutions, organisations and individuals.
