Kylie Minogue Aphrodite Les Folies tour 2011

Australian pop star Kylie Minogue has touched down in Sydney for the latest leg of her Australian Aphrodite: Les Folies tour. To welcome her arrival around 200 VIPs, media and record company execs joined her at the Circular Quay restaurant Wildfire against Sydney Harbour’s iconic backdrop for the Hello Sydney party.

Amongst the celebrities in attendance on a school night were Erin McNaught, Michelle Leslie, Charlotte Dawson, Kylie Gillies, and Melissa Doyle who had to get up before sunrise.

We all knew it would happen but Kylie’s arrival spurred a mini riot of sorts. The radiant pocket-sized pop princess was mobbed – but only by a flashmob of fans who seranaded her in a version of “I Should Be So Lucky” led by Sydney drag queen Joyce Maynge. Here’s a link to the video via Dylan Lewis’ point of view.
