Ghost in the Machine

The sunny weather on Easter Friday was a perfect day for an photography excursion to a Silo Factory. Visiting former industrial factory, abandoned buildings and derelict sites is and documenting the spaces is a favorite past time for myself and a few friends. This is also known in wider underground circles as the act of Urbexing or ‘Urban Exploration

My flickr set shows some of the sites I have visited thus far. Some of these spaces are no longer standing and others have restricted access due to their state of decay.

Historical and cultural preservation is the primary aim of this set of photos. Whilst photographing these spaces, we did not engage in any act of vandalism to further their decay and care is always taken to ensure that the things were left in the same way as they were found.
